A usually is a verb. This pattern has a tone that sth has to be done or there is no choice but to do it.
Example:
这次聚会，你去也得去，不去也得去，谁让你早早就许了这个诺。
---> You have to attend that gathering. Do not forget you have made that promise long time before.
你们都已经做了决定了才来问我，那我不是同意也得同意，不同意也得同意吗？
